Questions and Answers! Please feel free to mail us your question regarding Catherine K S and we'll post it with the answer on the site. Click here to mail your questions. Why haven't you uploaded any tracks from your latest album, the Big Dipper?Um because I hate to say this, but I personally feel more pleased with the Passion not Fashion album and didn't like the way The Big Dipper was recorded. Some people have said that they think the songs are better on the Big Dipper, and some have said they think the songs are better but that Passion not Fashion is more polished and technically accomplished which I totally agree with. In a nutshell I can't bring myself to upload something I'm not wholly happy with. Which is why I'm spending so long on the current album, so I can hand on heart say I'm really pleased with it and be happy to let it play in cyberspace. Any chance of releasing that Radio Head cover you do (Fake Plastic Trees) - it's just awesome! You're the second person to have asked that! Everybody seems to love it when I do that Radio Head cover at gigs, which suits me just fine and dandy as I really love doing it! I'll look into the possibility of putting it on an album, but I don't think it will be for the next CD though. Catherine, what's in your CD collection? It's rather varied. Obviously I'm not going to go through the whole thing, but albums by quoted influences Belle & Sebastian, REM and Joni Mitchell aside, my favourites at the moment are eels (virtually all of their CDs), Flaming Lips and Mercury Rev. Haven't managed to get the latest Flaming Lips one yet though! But I've got all sorts anything from Limp Bizkit (yes really I do - although I'm obviously not influenced by them!) to several classical albums, favourite being the pianist/composer Einaudi. Nestling amongst the Manu Chau, Astrud Gilberto, David Gray and Talvin Singh is also some Blink 182, Placebo, Nirvana and then some old 60s/70s stuff like Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Iggy Pop and The Kinks. Last CD I bought was by the Vines. You probably feel completely confused now by musical tastes!
